Since NaKu has also been offering its freshness bags in rolls of 10, we have been enthusiastic fans of our partner, the day care center for the disabled in St. Pölten!
Working with the NaKu bags promotes self-organization and the careful handling of work orders for the members, as well as conveying general values of professional life.
Our bags are counted, sorted and rolled with great care in the day care center. The banderole is glued and then placed around the bag.
For transport, the finished rolls are packed in boxes of 20 and made ready for dispatch.
Anyone ever had one NaKu cling roll or NaKu freezer bag roll in the hand, can see the great care: it is particularly striking that all the rolls are worked with great precision!
The facility:
The aim of the "Association for the Management of Workshops for the Disabled in the State Capital of St. Pölten" is to offer people with mental and/or physical disabilities day care and work opportunities.
Under educational guidance, up to 139 people find a cozy everyday atmosphere in which practical support is provided and how to deal with customers is re-learned.
The "protective workshop", which has existed since 1975, provides meaningful support for the participants after compulsory schooling.
Manual skills are learned through the independent or participatory management of special workshops and the people there are firmly integrated into at least one work process. Depending on their interest and ability, the members of the ten groups in the house take part in handicrafts, creative activities, handicraft projects or the support group, in which clay and pottery or handicrafts are made.
