The NaKu plastics cycle
Naturally. renewable. Compostable.
Nature and plastic – a contradiction in terms?
NaKu products made from bioplastics fulfill their purpose while protecting our environment. Packaging material has never been so sustainable. From the selection of natural Raw materials, about the The Brand of the products (bottles, bags, etc.) to the recycling and for composting.

The raw materials
In principle, bioplastics can be produced from various renewable raw materials. NaKu uses a starch compound made from corn for its breathable fresh-keeping bags. For the NaKu bottles, for example, a starch-based PLA (lactic acid) is used as a
raw material used.

The material production
Natural plastic is based on renewable raw materials, which are processed into a compound through technical processing. Compound is a granulate that can then be further processed. Depending on the intended use, it is obtained either from corn starch or from lactic acid.

Natural plastic
Natural plastic (NaKu) or Biokunststogg combines two important requirements. NaKu products are made exclusively from renewable raw materials or completely biodegradable materials and are biodegradable. This is unique!

The production
Depending on the area of application, there are various ways of processing natural plastic into any desired shape. Each process begins with the melting of the granules in a machine that works like a "heatable meat grinder".

Recycling
NaKu's vision is to combine recycling and organic with its products, because natural plastic is primarily recycled and is also very easy to recycle. With our products, both the sorting and the recycling and, in the last step, the XNUMX% recovery of the molecular building blocks works very well

The rot
The natural plastic is biodegradable. This means that it is compostable according to the DIN standard EN 13432 and thus meets the requirement of becoming biogenic mass again within 90 days. But natural plastic is also combustible and recyclable, which means it can be reused in the production of other products.

The Combustion
We see recycling and decomposition as the most advantageous ways to utilize bioplastics. In our view, the incineration of plastics of any kind is a backward form of waste recycling.
Of course, our NaKu bottles and bags are also thermally recyclable. The calorific value of bioplastic is 20 kJ/kg, meaning it burns as well as hardwood. However, thanks to the use of natural raw materials and their natural biodegradability during combustion, our NaKu products produce far fewer pollutants.

Advantages of natural plastic
The natural plastic produced and processed by NaKu has many advantages over conventional materials:
• NaKu is free of harmful substances
• NaKu has a lower CO2 Output
• NaKu protects the global oil resources
• NaKu can be recycled
• NaKu means upcycling
• NaKu decomposes in nature
• NaKu bags: breathable, keeps food fresh longer
• NaKu bags have multiple uses
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What is NaKu bioplastic and what is it made of?
NaKu bioplastic is a natural, sustainable, and compostable plastic. It is made from renewable raw materials such as corn starch and lactic acid and is free of harmful substances.
How does the NaKu plastics cycle work?
The cycle begins with the production of granulate from renewable raw materials. This granulate is processed into various products that can be either recycled or composted after use. When composted according to the EN 13432 standard, the plastic is converted into biogenic mass within 90 days.
What advantages does NaKu bioplastic offer compared to conventional plastics?
NaKu bioplastic has several advantages: It is pollutant-free, causes lower CO2emissions, conserves petroleum resources, and is compostable. Some products, such as NaKu bags, are also breathable, thus extending the freshness of food.
