The VIENO organic sunflower oil – quality and packaging
In order to keep healthy cooking oils with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids fresh for a long time, the material of the packaging or bottle is crucial. PLA packaging can more than stand up to comparison with PET bottles.
A recent study conducted by a research team at the University of Vienna also revealed further quality advantages. This study concluded that PLA bioplastic bottles not only protect cooking oil from oxidative spoilage to a similar extent as PET bottles, but also that they produce even fewer substances that impair taste and odor.
