pioneers in their field

Expertise. Pioneering spirit. And a healthy dose of passion. Since 2007, Ute and Johann Zimmermann have dedicated themselves to natural plastics. True to the family motto "whether my idea is really that good depends on who listens to me," Johann and his wife Ute Zimmermann founded the company NaKu to develop plastics that protect people and nature from the flood of plastics. NaKu is the alternative to conventional plastics!
All products are natural, renewable and compostable.

Technical management

Together with his wife Ute, Johann founded the NaKu company in 2007 in order to develop plastics that cause less damage to people and nature.

He carries out research work for NaKu. Anything that isn't nailed down is used for experiments and processed into natural plastic. It is not for nothing that he is called "The brain of the mission". He also knows how to motivate his team and keep them on track.

Like her husband, Ute is fascinated by biopolymers and inspires others with her enthusiasm for NaKu. She is our good mood doctor. With her cheerfulness, her humor and an inexhaustible supply of gummy bears, she ensures a pleasant and motivated working atmosphere.

Before she goes to work, Ute goes jogging along the Vienna River. Often accompanied by her husband or her dog Puck. This way she starts her working day relaxed and motivated.

Lizzy is very musical, which is why she likes to pick up her guitar to balance her work. In her free time, she also curiously explores the many facets of Vienna, as she has only recently been living in the cosmopolitan city.
