Technical management

Together with his wife Ute, Johann founded the NaKu company in 2007 in order to develop plastics that cause less damage to people and nature.

He carries out research work for NaKu. Anything that isn't nailed down is used for experiments and processed into natural plastic. It is not for nothing that he is called "The brain of the mission". He also knows how to motivate his team and keep them on track.

Mag. Ute Zimmermann

Commercial Management

Like her husband, Ute is fascinated by biopolymers and inspires others with her enthusiasm for NaKu. She is responsible for the commercial decisions at NaKu and at the same time our good mood doctor. With her cheerfulness, her humor and an inexhaustible supply of gummy bears, she ensures a pleasant and motivated working atmosphere.

Before she goes to work, Ute goes jogging along the Wien river. Often accompanied by her husband or her dog Tinkerbell. So she starts her working day relaxed and motivated.

Margit Hoedel

Sales & key account

Margit has been supporting the NaKu team since July 2023 and works in the sales & key account area. Margit is very fond of nature and that is why she will support NaKu with her many years of professional experience in various companies.

In addition to her family, her great passion is handicrafts, such as sewing or crocheting.

Moritz Zimmerman

Management assistance, customer service, order processing

Moritz has been part of the NaKu team since July 2023 and supports the daily processing of orders and customer support.

At the same time, he is pursuing his studies in business informatics at WU. In his free time, he enthusiastically devotes himself to his favorite hobby - gaming. He also enjoys taking on IT-related matters in the office with joy and commitment.

Laura Mokesch BA

Graphic Design

With her calm and relaxed manner, Laura is the rock in the surf when things get haywire in the NaKu office. She has been a team member of NaKu since July 2019 and gives free rein to her creativity in the field of graphic design.

Laura's passion for fashion and textiles regularly takes her to foreign countries and small shops far from the main streets.

Lizzy Weinert

Social Media

Lizzy has been employed at NaKu since January 2023 and supports the marketing team in the social media area. With her self-built reach on Instagram, as a brand ambassador, she has the opportunity to spread Naku products and educate people about sustainability.

Lizzy is very musical, which is why she likes to pick up her guitar to balance her work. In her free time, she also curiously explores the many facets of Vienna, as she has only recently been living in the cosmopolitan city.

Michael Zeger

Marketing

Michael “Mike” has worked in various marketing positions in international corporations and also in SMEs in his previous professional life. Now he would like to contribute his experience to a company with a very strong environmental background and an awareness of sustainability. 

Privately, Mike is enthusiastic about cultivating fig trees, which he then gives away after they have been successfully reared. Breeding attempts are also made with all sorts of plants that come under him. Chilli, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and much more. Mike always brings people from his own garden to the office to cook together. Mike's "artistic" streak isn't neglected either. If there is time, he makes sculptures and objects out of concrete.

Michael Rottensteiner

IT Manager

Michael Rottensteiner has been supporting the company with all IT issues since December 2018. His thirst for knowledge and his commitment keep driving him to new heights, which is why Michael is also studying business informatics.

So that he hasn't become a couch potato in the IT industry for more than 10 years now, he is also an enthusiastic runner and often accompanies Johann and Ute Zimmermann on their training sessions.
