Award for the “Plastic Teaching Aid Box”

There was an Energy Globe award for the “plastic teaching aid box”.

Every year, the Energy Globe honors outstanding environmental projects and also recognizes sustainable initiatives by young people and schools. This year there was again a special category for these projects. Among these awards was the plastic teaching aid box “Handle plastic responsibly”, which was awarded a medal in Upper Austria as one of twelve youth projects.

The teaching aid box mentioned contains 14 exemplary products that illustrate the diverse applications of plastics. These products form the basis for modular accompanying school material. In the teaching aid box you will also find the bioplastic ants from NaKu. Originally developed and manufactured for the art project “Attention Ants” by artist Julia Bugram, these bioplastic ants illustrate the wide range of possibilities that now arise from this material.

The teaching aid box and accompanying material is aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 14. It integrates various subject areas such as chemistry, physics, biology, environmental studies, geography, economic education as well as career orientation and art education. In addition to the school context, the material is also suitable for extracurricular further education with a focus on the circular economy, environmental education and sustainability. Interested schools and teachers can Request the plastic teaching aid box free of charge.
