Everyone knows them, as plant labels have a wide range of uses . They are a quick and easy way to label plants in pots or garden beds in no time , or even to mark prices – and they are made entirely from bioplastic, based on rapidly renewable raw materials.
The bioplastic stake signs are reusable , waterproof , and withstand various weather conditions, whereas paper disintegrates in the rain. They are also compostable according to DIN 13432.

The clear advantage of bioplastic labels, in addition to being made from rapidly renewable, plant-based raw materials, is their degradability. Unlike conventional PVC products, they don't leave permanent microplastics in the soil, which also prevents plants such as vegetables from absorbing microplastics from the soil as they grow.
PVC plant labels break down into microplastics. And nobody wants that in the soil, in the plant itself, or in their compost. This risk doesn't exist when using NaKu labels, as they are biodegradable and don't leave behind any persistent microplastics.
There are also stick-on labels made from paper. The production and energy required for paper production is many times higher than for the production of bioplastics. The production process of paper itself, with all its additives, bleaching and drying processes, also takes longer, and an enormous amount of water is needed to produce paper.
