After the gripping and insightful lectures, we were also able to meet Daniel Steinitz (managing director of the microplastic-free alliance) and Ass.Prof. Mag. Dr.rer.nat. The microplastic-free alliance is the competence center for know-how and exchange in order to develop solution strategies for reducing microplastics in the environment. According to its own information, the alliance is a microplastics group a very broad association of scientific institutions, companies, interest groups and local administration that assumes its responsibility to protect the environment for future generations.
