NaKu Corporate Brochure 2025 – Natural. Sustainable. Forward-looking.
NaKu – Made from natural plastic
Since 2007, NaKu has stood for a vision: packaging made from renewable raw materials that protects people and the environment. The new 2025 company brochure impressively demonstrates how far this vision has already become reality – with a wide range of products, projects, and innovations made from bioplastics.
What is natural plastic?
NaKu uses plastics made from plant-based raw materials such as corn starch or sugar. These materials are biodegradable and compostable according to DIN EN 13432. They offer an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional petroleum-based plastics – without persistent microplastics and without harmful substances.
Product variety for everyday life and industry
Organic bags
From fresh-keeping bags to garbage and freezer bags to carrier bags for retailers and pharmacies – NaKu offers a wide range of compostable and breathable bags that keep food fresher for longer and can be used as organic waste bags at the end of their life cycle.
PLA/rPLA bottles
The "120% sustainable" NaKu bottle is made from 100% plant-based PLA plus 20% recycled PLA. It is lightweight, pollutant-free, and biodegradable (compostable according to DIN 13432) – ideal for beverages, cosmetics, or cleaning products. Custom bottle geometries are also possible.
Organic cans & sample tubes
Resealable containers made of bioplastic are suitable for food, dietary supplements, or cosmetics. Sample tubes made of PLA are robust, non-toxic, and versatile – from the laboratory to the outdoors.
Biopolymer films & labels
The films made from starch and sugar replace conventional plastic labels and paper products. They are waterproof, dimensionally stable, printable, and compostable according to DIN 13432 – ideal for garden centers, packaging, and promotional materials.
Sugar card
A sustainable alternative to PVC cards: The NaKu sugar card is made of sugar and starch, is compostable, and is already part of a recycling project. It is suitable for bank cards, hotel cards, access cards, and much more.
Research, Projects & Awards
Recycling & Circular Economy
NaKu combines mechanical and chemical recycling with biodegradability. The vision: a "double loop" of recycling and composting that sustainably extends the life cycle of packaging.
Projects with impact
From art projects with bioplastic ants to interchangeable cartridges for natural cosmetics – NaKu realizes individual customer projects with high standards of sustainability and design.
Award-winning innovation
NaKu has received multiple awards, including the Energy Globe Award Austria for its organic planting bag used in a Kenyan reforestation project. Other accolades include the ÖGUT Environmental Award, DAPHNE, TRIGOS, Genius, and many more.
