About Handmade by Nature
Over the past few years, the founders of Handmade by Nature have tried to find alternatives to mass-produced, industrially produced foods and products. The demands were on regionality, the highest quality, organic, handmade, sustainability, natural ingredients and plastic-free or low-plastic packaging.
However, limitations were repeatedly encountered, as while there are many wonderful manufacturers and products, these had to be painstakingly gathered. Then, orders had to be placed individually with each small manufacturer. This impacted shipping costs, resources, and also negatively affected the carbon footprint . For this reason, the decision was made to found Handmade by Nature.
Handmade by Nature stands for an appreciation of nature, its delicious bounty, and its often still-traditional craftsmanship. The Handmade by Nature online shop offers sustainable products, primarily handcrafted, regionally sourced, and made with love for nature. The selection ranges from handmade artwork, jewelry, and homeware to handmade fashion, upcycled clothing, natural cosmetics, and a wide variety of delicacies from all over Austria. Handmade by Nature thus unites a multitude of manufacturers in a single shop.

NaKu products made from bioplastic – produced from plant-based/renewable raw materials – perfectly complement the Handmade by Nature range. You can now find our bio freezer bags, bio food storage bags, bio garbage bags, and the NaKu PLA bottle in the Handmade by Nature online shop.
The NaKu organic bags are made from natural, non-GMO and rapidly renewable raw materials (vegetable raw materials) from European agriculture. They are 100% compostable and free of pollutants and heavy metals and also decompose within a few weeks in the compost according to DIN EN 13432.
The NaKu organic bottle / PLA bottle is the ideal container for drinks - without any plastic! It contains no plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony and is made from 100% natural plastic (PLA), or to put it another way: from plants and lactic acid.
