They therefore do not contain any harmful plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony and are made of 100% bioplastic (PLA/rPLA).
NOW NEW!
The NaKu organic bottle/organic can with 150ml capacity.
Ideal for small amounts of liquids, such as shots or concentrates. Extra thick-walled design, large filling opening.
While petroleum is becoming increasingly scarce and expensive, natural, rapidly renewable resources offer an important source of raw materials for sustainable bottle production.
NaKu Bio bottles are also compostable according to DIN 13432! Unlike PET, for example, they do not produce permanent, harmful microplastics during decomposition.1In addition, the NaKu PLA/rPLA bottles made of natural plastic are 7% lighter than conventional petroleum plastic! Therefore, in addition to all other environmentally friendly aspects, COXNUMX is also saved during transport.2 saved. Compared to glass bottles, this weight advantage has an even greater impact.
The NaKu bottle made from renewable raw materials is available in various standard sizes. For larger quantities, it is also possible to produce the bottle with your individual bottle geometry and to color the bottle. Sleeving is also possible for smaller quantities. Learn more about the NaKu organic bottles here.
Due to the natural raw material, NaKu bottles are not suitable for hot filling and are not dishwasher safe. The maximum operating temperature is 55°C. In many cases, depending on the contents, wiping or warm washing is sufficient for further use. If this is not possible, thermal recycling only produces as much CO2 as the plant absorbed or bound it during growth. This represents a further advantage in comparison to the thermal recycling of bottles based on petroleum plastic.

The infographic "Is there anything greener than rPET?" shows the material comparison between rPET and rPLA. Bottles made of rPLA perform better, especially in the areas of health, raw materials and sustainability.
topic of microplastics and nanoplastics
The publication of a new study from the USA on the topic of “microplastics and nanoplastics” has brought PET bottles into the focus of reporting.
Naixin Qian's team at Columbia University in New York obtained conventional 1-liter plastic water bottles from three different US supermarkets and examined them for nanoplastics. Each of these PET bottles contained around 3 plastic fragments.
In contrast to PET bottles, we do not ingest any permanent microplastics when drinking from bottles made of bioplastics, as these are bottles made of PLA (in simple terms – based on lactic acid/sugar). They also do not contain any plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony. The publication of the study mentioned under the title “Rapid single-particle chemical imaging of nanoplastics by SRS microscopy“ you can read here.
Topic Pollutants – Benzene
The new study by the University of Vienna also found that the PET bottle releases carcinogenic benzene into the oil over the storage period.
The researchers in this study tested the stored sunflower oil for benzene after 56 days and measured a concentration in the samples stored in PET bottles that was 140 times higher than permitted for drinking water. Recycled PET performed even worse.
In comparison to the PET bottle, the NaKu bottle tested in this study is made of completely natural materials (sugar as the raw material), which is why no harmful substances can be released from the bottle.
You can find more on this topic and the link to the study here.
The advantages of bottles made from plant-based raw materials
120% sustainable – plant-based raw materials
Is more than 100% sustainability possible? The new NaKu bottle made of PLA/bioplastic achieves exactly that: 100% plant-based raw materials plus 20% recycled PLA.
pollutant-free
The NaKu bottle is made of completely natural materials, which is why no harmful substances such as benzene can be released from the bottle. It also does not contain any plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony.
Microplastic free
When the NaKu PLA/rPLA bottle rots, no permanent microplastics are created.
Compostable
The NaKu PLA/rPLA bottle is compostable according to DIN 13432.
Storage
The lifespan of the NaKu PLA/rPLA bottle is the same as that of a normal PET bottle. In order to decompose, it needs an environment like that in a compost or an industrial composting plant (DIN 13432).
Weight saving
The NaKu PLA/rPLA bottle is 7% lighter than conventional plastic! This also reduces CO2 saved.
