A pile of plastic bottles

Microplastics and nanoplastics in PET bottles?!

From the media: Ingestion of microplastics and nanoplastics by drinking from PET bottles

In recent days there have been reports in many media about microplastics and nanoplastics in PET bottles. The reports are based on a new study from the USA. The publication of this study under the title “Rapid single-particle chemical imaging of nanoplastics by SRS microscopy” read it right here.

You can find out more about a plastic-free* alternative - a bottle made from quickly renewable, plant-based raw materials - here: This is one PLA bottle (made of bioplastic, to put it simply – based on lactic acid/sugar). This also does not contain any plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony.

Here you will find the various media reports on this topic

futurezone.at “This is how much plastic you ingest when you drink from PET bottles"

scinexx.de The knowledge magazine: “Lots of nanoplastics in table water"

Kronen Zeitung: “Nanoplastics in bottles: The invisible danger"

Today: "This is how much nanoplastic you drink from water bottles"

Star: "Bottled water contaminated with tons of nanoplastics"

*Free from conventional plastic/no petroleum-based plastic
