Master students are being sought for two interesting projects at BOKU
Looking for the following two projects DI Dr. Ronald Zirbs Master’s students.
Master thesis (6 months)
Development of innovative food and beverage packaging made from fully biodegradable bioplastics
Be part of the solution to one of the most pressing problems of our time: from plastic waste to a circular economy.
Your job:
- Production and optimization of small yoghurt cups made of PLA.
- Measurement of oxygen and water barrier properties using a method developed in-house.
- Optimization of the barrier properties through the use of a range of super-innovative natural polymers/materials.
Your profile:
- studies: Ready to start a master thesis (full time),
- cooperative: Highly interested in being part of a cross-functional and international project
- independent: Develop your own ideas/ solve problems and find innovative solutions

- Measurement of oxygen and water barrier properties using a method developed in-house.
- Optimization of the barrier properties through the use of a range of super-innovative natural polymers/materials.
