After the eventful and successful WALK4FUTURE 2024 under the motto “REthink Fashion”, Martina Gleissenebner-Teskey has decided to once again set a strong example for more sustainability and environmental awareness in the fashion industry this year.
At WALK4FUTURE 2024, Martina made numerous stops on her nearly 1.500-kilometer journey from Klosterneuburg to Paris for Haute Couture Week to meet visionary designers committed to a sustainable future for the fashion and beauty industry. The NaKu team accompanied Martina for part of the walk on Earth Day (theme: Planet vs. Plastic) and discussed the diverse applications of bioplastics in the fashion industry. Now WALK4FUTURE 2025 is just around the corner. This year's motto is "Walk more – Spend Less – Invest better." Martina wants to actively involve the community and has already revealed that, in addition to Instagram, there will also be a dedicated membership platform. In May 2025, everyone is invited to incorporate more exercise into their daily routine for a month – whether by taking the stairs instead of the elevator, replacing car journeys with walks, or even not buying new clothes. This participatory campaign is intended to encourage people to invest their saved money more wisely.
WALK4FUTURE 2025 kicks off on May 1 in Amsterdam. The route will once again focus on sustainable alternatives to fast fashion and overconsumption. Martina is expected to arrive in Frankfurt on May 16 and from there travel by bus to Lodz, Poland, to participate in a fashion show as part of the Climate Summit. Another highlight is the Urban Future Conference from May 21 to 23, where Martina will lead a session on "walkable cities." All important information you will find here.
