NaKu and the Bloom Project

The pan-European BLOOM project

A great European project

NaKu is part of the Europe-wide BLOOM project! Together with 11 organizations from 8 European countries, the Ecosocial Forum Austria & Europe, as a so-called "hub leader" for Austria and Germany, worked to bring together important players in the field of bioeconomy, to increase understanding among the population and to create a platform for discussion to accomplish.

And NaKu was there with its products made of natural plastic - this project was very exciting for us, because we consider information and education to be particularly important.

In the course of this project, a teaching case was put together for schools, which contained products made from natural raw materials as illustrative material. Our NaKu products made of natural plastic/bioplastics show how conventional plastic made from petroleum can be replaced by natural plastic made from rapidly renewable raw materials.

According to the German & Austrian Hub, the goal or motto was:

“Showcase that the bioeconomy can develop new innovative products and materials. Thereby the bioeconomy provides economic opportunities for manifold sectors, industries and products and diminishes the environmental burden caused by the fossil-based economy. We aim to better integrate stakeholders and increase the general understanding for a bioeconomy and its potential on a finite planet.”
