The advantages of pharmacy carrier bags made from renewable raw materials
damp-proof
Unlike most paper carrier bags, bioplastic carrier bags are also moisture-resistant.
Cheaper than paper carrier bags
NaKu pharmacy bags are significantly lighter than paper bags. This means we need considerably fewer raw materials in production – and we pass this price advantage on to you.
GMO-free and free of pollutants and heavy metals
To produce the starch, we only use GMO-free corn from European agriculture. For health and environmental protection, we do not add any harmful substances such as bisphenol A, antimony or phthalates.
energy consumption in production
The production of paper bags requires significantly more energy than the production of carrier bags made from bioplastics. Furthermore, the paper manufacturing process – with all its additives, bleaching, and drying processes – requires an enormous amount of water.
Fast-growing raw material
The starch needed to make the carrier bags is obtained from fast-growing commercial corn, while paper is made from slow-growing trees.
Excluded from the plastic bag ban
As a lightweight, biodegradable bag that is thinner than 15 µm, it may continue to be sold by retailers.
Natural plastic based on plant-based raw materials
For the production of the pharmacy bag, NaKu uses starch from corn from European agriculture. Natural plastic feels pleasantly soft and velvety to the touch and is still tear-resistant.
Compostable
The natural plastic is compostable according to DIN standard EN 13432 - TÜV certified. In industrial compost, the composting process of the pharmacy bag takes about 3-5 days. In home compost, if it is turned over at regular intervals, it takes 9-12 weeks in warm weather for our pharmacy bag to be composted.

In your pharmacy, avoid filling food supplements, creams, oils, tablets, etc. in conventional bottles and cans based on petroleum plastic. In contrast to PET bottles or PET cans, NaKu bottles and cans are made from plants and lactic acid. They do not contain any harmful plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates or antimony and are made from 100% natural plastic (PLA).
NOW NEW!
The NaKu bottle/can with 150ml capacity.
Ideal for small quantities of powder or tablet-shaped substances, as well as liquids. Extra thick-walled design, large filling opening.
NaKu bottles and cans are also compostable according to DIN 13432! No permanent, potentially harmful microplastics are produced during decomposition . Furthermore, NaKu PLA/rPLA bottles and cans made from natural plastic are 7% lighter than conventional petroleum-based plastic! This not only reduces CO2 emissions during transport, but also offers other environmentally friendly benefits . This weight advantage is even more significant compared to glass bottles or cans.
The NaKu bottle, made from plant-based raw materials, is available in various standard sizes. For larger quantities required in your pharmacy, we can also produce bottles with your individual geometry, as well as coloring. Sleeving is possible even for smaller quantities. Learn more about NaKu bottles here.
The NaKu container is also available in different sizes. For larger quantities, your pharmacy can also have custom container shapes and colors produced. Sleeves are available even for smaller quantities. Learn more about NaKu containers here.
Due to the natural raw material , NaKu bottles and cans are not suitable for hot filling and are not dishwasher safe. The maximum operating temperature is 55°C. In many cases, depending on the contents, wiping or warm washing is sufficient for reuse. If this is not possible, thermal recycling only releases as much CO2 as the plant absorbed or bound during its growth. This represents a further advantage compared to the thermal recycling of bottles or cans made from petroleum-based plastics.
rPET (recycled PET) is currently a hotly debated topic , especially regarding bottles and cans. The infographic “Is there anything greener than rPET?” presents a material comparison between rPET and rPLA (recycled PLA/recycled bioplastic).

Bioplastic test tube/sample tube

Made 100% from rapidly renewable, natural resources: plants and/or lactic acid.

Guaranteed free of plasticizers such as phthalates, bisphenol A, BHPF, or antimony!

The alternative to products based on petroleum plastic. Compostable according to DIN 13432!

The NaKu test tube/sample tube made of bioplastic is the ideal container for a wide variety of applications. It contains no plasticizers such as bisphenol A, phthalates, or antimony and consists of 100% natural plastic (PLA), or in other words: from rapidly renewable plants and lactic acid.
The test tubes/sample tubes are very durable due to their particularly thick material. The specially shaped wide neck facilitates the filling of liquids or test strips. The wide rim allows the tubes to be optimally hung in the rack. The screw cap with tamper-evident ring ensures a secure seal.
The PLA test tubes/sample tubes are not dishwasher safe! The maximum operating temperature is 55°C.
In most cases, test tubes are disposed of and incinerated after use. Here, the NaKu test tube offers a further advantage: during incineration, only as much CO2 is released as the plant absorbed or bound during its growth.
